Masala Chai is a classic flavoured tea drink made by mixing black tea, warm milk, Indian herbs and spices. This natural blend of black tea and spices is ideal for making a chai latte or spicy mint tea. This black tea mix contains peppermint, licorice root and star anise, which gives the tea a sweet, spicy taste. You can add warm milk to your own taste for a delicious chai-latte. With this tea you can also make delicious iced tea, then add fresh mint to your own taste. This tea has no added flavors.
Preparation of Masala Chai
As described above, there is no specific method of preparation for making a Masala Chai tea. We advise:
- Pour warm milk into a tea cup or glass (about 1/3 of the cup / glass).
- Place 1-2 full teaspoon(s) of Masala Chai in a tea filter and place the filter in the tea cup / glass.
- Pour freshly boiled hot water over the tea filter into the tea cup / glass.
- Let the tea steep for at least 10 minutes.
-Add a dash of honey if you like and enjoy!
