How is Earl Grey tea made?
Traditionally, Earl Grey is made from black teas and is intended to be consumed without milk. Over the centuries, stronger black teas were used, making it common to also add milk to Earl Grey tea. Nowadays, Earl Grey tea comes in many types and varieties. Earl Grey tea is flavored by the addition of bergamot oil. This fragrant oil from the bergamot crust is added to the tea leaves to give Earl Grey its unique flavor.
