How to make homemade iced tea with loose leaf tea?

Making your own iced tea at home is very easy. You have a lot of choice for homemade iced tea. From a regular black or green chilled tea to fruit and herbal blends. With the above loose tea you are guaranteed to enjoy a delicious home made iced tea!

This is how you make homemade iced tea:

Step 1:
To make iced tea, you start the same as with regular tea. The tea, fruit and/or herbal blends must first release their flavor in hot water. Use the brewing advice that you can find with each tea, but double the number of teaspoons of loose tea. For making iced tea, the tea must be extra strong, because you will also add ice cubes later.

Step 2:
Remove the loose leaf tea from the water after the recommended brewing time. While the tea is still warm, add sweetener if desired. Honey is a healthy and tasty flavoring for iced tea.

Step 3:
Let the tea cool to room temperature. You can then serve the tea as iced tea with the addition of ice cubes, but you can also let the tea cool down extra in the fridge and drink it later.

Step 4:
The homemade iced tea is ready! Pour out the iced tea and add a few ice cubes. Garnish with, for example, a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint. Voila, enjoy!
